Oral-B discontinues dual clean brush heads.

I’ve noticed for some months now that finding the dual clean brush heads for my Oral-B toothbrush has been impossible. You can’t find them in stores and you cannot find them online. These brush heads were unique as it was the main reason I purchased one of their electronic toothbrushes in the first place.

You can still buy the numerous single headed replacement brushes but at twice the cost! I did such a thing to test out the single brush version and noticed a very stark contrast when compared to the dual brush heads. They simply do not work as well.

At one point you could easily purchase a 3 pack of dual clean heads for $17 while the newer single head packs are $29 when on sale.

I decided to get down to the bottom of this issue by actually calling Oral-B at 1-800-566-7252. After 10 minutes on hold I was connected and posed my question about the availability of these replacement brush heads. The answer I was expecting was indeed true and I was informed that this product has been discontinued. Upon probing further they did mention that replacement heads were discontinued at times and they have no plan of keeping the dual head line.

This was extremely disappointing as I mentioned the dual head was the main factor in my purchase. The response from the customer service rep was priceless as they said after a long drawn out pause, “Oh well” in the most sarcastic tone I have ever heard.
