The GST/HST holiday was in full effect right when Winterlicious hit in 2025. This was nice to see reflected on the final bill. The weather did not hold up nicely near the end of Winterlicious this year so it was the only outing this time.
The wine selection was an interesting one this year with a choice from Australia. As for the name, I forgot it along with the name of the fish of the day my guest had (one of those with their name used twice).
The food as always was excellent but I could not help but notice issues with the in-house lighting. The incandescent light bulbs would flicker every five minutes or so, it was very noticeable and annoying. Trying to get the attention of our waiter for the cheque was proving to be quite the challenge too at the end of the meal and took way longer than necessary.
The portioning is always deceiving here. While it may look smaller than most places it is extremely filling. Once again the food was excellent and well worth the upper-end of the price range for Winterlicious.
No red sauce on my shirt this time but I may have had a stroke due to the flickering lights and not noticed.
